A wizard named Lirdrium Arkayz hires adventurers to uncover the secret of the mysterious Rock, a journey that has claimed the lives of many before them. The party must cross dangerous countryside, choosing between three different routes (or as I did, all three to squeeze as much fun as possible form the module) filled with encounters, puzzles, and hidden dangers. Unlike most early Basic D&D modules, Journey to the Rock takes place almost entirely outdoors, through the three regions: woodland, scrub and highlands, and wastes, making wilderness travel its main focus.
